VENEZUELA: THE TRUTH

[DISCLAIMER]: ALL INFORMATION PRESENTED IN THIS ARTICLE WILL NOT PRODUCE AN IOTA OF OPINION FROM MY END.

AS A DOMINICAN-AMERICAN, I CAN EMPATHIZE WITH THE CAUSE OF THE VENEZUELANS. AS AN OBSERVER OF THE ONGOING DESTABILIZATION OF VENEZUELA, I AM HERE TO PRESENT THE FACTS, NOTHING MORE. POLITICS HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY INTEREST, AND I INTEND TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL THE HAPPENINGS OF THE WORLD AS IT IS.

IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH, YOU ARE NOT FIT TO READ THE REST OF THIS POST, MUCH LIKE YOU WOULD NOT BE FIT TO BE A PART OF THE LAST PALABRA. FACTS FIRST, ALWAYS. NO BULLSHIT, EVER.

THAT BEING SAID, WE SHALL BEGIN.

It’s no surprise, really.

Think of it like this: When the United States was in the early stages of invading Iraq back in late March 2003, then-Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and then-President George W. Bush–along with the Dick himself, then-Vice President Cheney–came up with a genius operation name that will forever ring in the minds of Americans and abroad.

Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL) was made known to Washington insiders, but they recognized their true intentions to invade were boiled down to an acronym for all to see. The bell was rung, and the true reasons for invading Iraq then are ringing that same bell once again, but in the name of intervening in Venezuela.

After all, “all options are on the table,” right?

Venezuela’s oil reserves is a resource that many countries, like the United States and Saudi Arabia, enjoy. In 2018, Venezuela sent about 500,000 barrels of its crude oil to the U.S. on a daily basis. As of November 2018, however, that number dropped to about 350,000 barrels per day.

The sanctions imposed by the United States dating as far back as November 2014 with Executive Order 13692, signed by President Obama, called for total blockage of certain Venezuelan individuals for committing supposed human rights violations not yet corroborated by the same government. More, and more, and more, and more, and MORE sanctions came flying at Venezuela, with no room to speak as the mic was being unplugged by the International Big Bully.

Now, with the following of the mentioned Executive Order, the Trump Administration finds it appropriate to be the International Big Bully it has always been.

Is it a surprise to nobody in particular that “President” Juan Guaidó of the Opposition had the balls to declare himself president of the National Assembly?

It shouldn’t be a surprise when you have the United States and its CIA backing you. (Guaidó’s alma mater, George Washington University, has a mascot…called the Colonials. Heh.) It’s also no surprise to anyone aware of the Bolivarian Constitution that self-declaration is not the norm to make yourself president. In fact, it’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

It’s the democratic vote of the Venezuelan populace that determines this, as was the case last May.

Now, we have the US-backed Guarimbas telling the world that they can’t be entrepreneurs, yet Caracas and the rest of Venezuela remain relatively calm. With US-backed coup d’etat failures and attempts on the life of a democratically elected president, we will continue to see the playing out of the protests, the hyperinflation, and what the political future will look like for the Bolivarian Republic.

Expect more from me on this topic.
